What counts as a genuine emergency?+
A flooding pipe, a live electrical fault, or a roof letting water into the property all count as emergencies — anything that risks further damage or safety if left overnight. If there’s an immediate danger to life, call 999 first. For everything else, a same-day or next-day visit is usually the right call, and we’ll tell you honestly which category your issue falls into when you phone.
How quickly can someone attend?+
Most Battersea addresses are reached within 60 minutes during normal hours. We’ll confirm a realistic arrival time when you call, based on live demand, traffic and access requirements. Out-of-hours visits are arranged on the same basis — the gap between call and on-site is usually shorter than waiting for a scheduled slot.
Will I know the cost before work starts?+
Yes — you’ll be given a clear callout charge and an estimate before anyone picks up a tool. Complex jobs, like drying out a flooded room, are harder to price upfront, so in those cases we’ll agree a scope of work first and confirm the price once the extent of the damage is clear. There are no surprise charges added after the job is done.
What guarantees are offered on completed work?+
Every job comes with a 12-month guarantee on our workmanship. If something we’ve repaired fails within that period, we come back and put it right at no extra cost. Materials carry manufacturer warranties where applicable. We’ll explain exactly what’s covered and for how long before you agree to the work.
What happens at night or on a weekend?+
We operate 24/7, so the same team takes calls outside normal hours. There is an out-of-hours rate for night call-outs and public holidays, which is confirmed with you before we dispatch an engineer. You’ll know the charge before anyone arrives.
Can you help with a leak in a managed apartment?+
Tell us which flat is affected, whether the source is known and who can authorise access. Having the concierge or managing agent’s details ready helps coordinate the next steps. We’re used to working with facilities teams, presenting our insurance and RAMS, and arranging keycard or lift access for our engineers.
How should I prepare for a technician’s visit?+
Clear access to the problem area, any keys or access codes, and photos of the damage if you have them. For rented or managed properties, include who can authorise the work. A short description of what happened and when is more useful than a long history — we’ll ask the right questions on the phone.
Is additional documentation provided for insurance claims?+
Yes. We provide invoices, work records and, where relevant, drying progress reports or damage photos. Most insurers accept these as part of a claim. If you need a specific format or extra detail, let us know before the job starts and we’ll make sure the paperwork matches what your policy requires.
How does working with a homeowner differ from a managing agent?+
With a homeowner or tenant, access and authorisation are usually straightforward — you’re the decision-maker. With a managing agent or landlord, we coordinate approvals, access windows and reporting requirements upfront. The repair standard is the same either way; the difference is just who we speak to and what paperwork they need.
What areas do you cover?+
Enquiries are welcome from Battersea, Battersea Park, Nine Elms, Clapham Junction, Latchmere and the surrounding area. Call with your postcode to confirm availability and access arrangements. We don’t charge extra for being outside the immediate area — we just confirm whether we have the right engineer nearby when you call.
